I spent an afternoon in London today shooting the X-T2 and Fuji 18-135mm in JPG and ACROS Film Simulation. Here are some of the shots from the afternoon. I used ACROS with Green Filter and find this to be a good all round option for black and white photography.
ACROS Film Simulation Gallery
Gallery of images taken on my walk along Londons South Bank and over the river to St Pauls and Victoria Embankment. All images are ACROS (Green Filter) JPGS taken on Fuji X-T2 and 18-135mm lens. I have cropped and straightened.
I came across this bride and groom (well, at least people dressed as a bride and groom) on the Millennium Bridge.
The contrast was very high with the sunlight directly on St Pauls in the distance and the couple in the shadows. The shot below is the ACROS JPG straight from camera (with a crop and straighten)
This is a quick edit of the same JPG in Adobe Lightroom. I've basically brought the exposure down, recovered highlights 100% and boosted Shadows. It is surprising how tolerant the JPG is for significant recovery in post. Who needs RAW?!
